HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - ``Don't Look Up'' was the most-watched English- language film on Netflix for the third consecutive week despite a 61.8% drop in viewership from the previous week, according to figures released today by the streaming service.
Viewers spent 58.2 million hours between Jan. 3 and Sunday watching the comedy about an approaching comet that will destroy Earth in its second full week of release.
``Don't Look Up'' was watched for 152.29 million hours the previous week and for 321.52 million hours in the first 17 days it has been available.
``Mother/Android'' was second with 29.73 million hours watched. The post-apocalyptic science fiction thriller among four films in the latest top 10 not in the previous week's.
The 2011 Adam Sandler-starring romantic comedy ``Just Go With It'' returned to the top 10 after an eight-week absence, placing seventh with 10.53 million hours watched.
Another Sandler film, ``The Longest Yard,'' which was released in 2005, made its debut in the top 10, finishing 10th with 9.96 million hours watched.
The 2021 South African computer-animated action comedy ``Seal Team'' was ninth with 10.31 million hours watched the first full week it was available on Netflix.
Dropping out of the top 10 were two Spider-Man films, ``Spider-Man,'' released in 2002 and 2017's ``Spider-Man: Homecoming,'' the documentary-style year in review comedy ``Death to 2021'' and the 2019 action comedy ``Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.''
``Red Notice'' dropped one spot to sixth with 14.54 million hours watched, 23.7% less than the 14.54 million hours watched the previous week. The action comedy has been watched for a record 422.69 million hours in its 59 days of release.
The fourth season of ``Cobra Kai'' topped the English-language television programs for the second consecutive week with 107.81 million hours watched of its 10 episodes, 10.2% less than 120.06 million hours the previous week when it was available for three days.
The eight-episode limited series ``Stay Close'' rose three spots to second with 91.18 million hours watched in the first full week of the thriller's release, 191.4% more than the 31.29 million hours watched the previous week when it was available for three days.
All four seasons of ``Cobra Kai'' made the top 10, with the third and second seasons of the sequel to the 1984 film ``The Karate Kid'' making the top 10 for the first time, joining the first season, which also made the previous week's top 10.
The third season was ninth for the week with 20.1 million hours watched while the second season was 10th with 19.34 million hours watched. All four seasons consist of 10 episodes each.
The other program in the top 10 not in the previous week's was the first season of `Manifest,'' with the canceled NBC supernatural drama returning after a 17-week absence, placing fifth with 30.16 million hours watched of its 16 episodes.
Dropping out of the top 10 were the three-part documentary series ``Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer''; the 10-episode military documentary ``WWII in Color: Road to Victory''; and the first season of ``Emily in Paris.''
