County Firefighters Knock Down Stubborn Strip Mall Fire In Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA (CNS) - County firefighters knocked down a stubborn second-alarm fire at a strip mall in Santa Clarita today.  

The blaze was focused in the attic of the second floor of the strip mall, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.  

The fire at the strip mall at 23236 W. Lyons Ave. was reported at 4:42 p.m. Saturday, according to Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores.  

The department dispatched 10 engines and four trucks to the scene, Flores said.  

A knockdown was called at 5:25 p.m., Flores said.  

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
