SEAL BEACH (CNS) - The pilot of a small plane made a successful emergency landing on the sand in Seal Beach today.
Police were called at 12:38 p.m. about the Cessna 152's landing near the Eighth Street municipal parking lot, according to Seal Beach police Lt. Nick Nicholas. The plane made the landing after ``experiencing apparent engine trouble,'' Nicholas said.
The plane's two occupants escaped injury and no one on the beach was hurt, he said.
``It was a really nice landing,'' and there was no apparent damage to the plane, Nicholas said.
