COSTA MESA (CNS) - Orange County firefighters today were working to recover a body from the Santa Ana River between Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach.

Authorities were called just after noon to recover the body near the Victoria bridge between the two cities, Orange County sheriff's Sgt. Todd Hylton said.

``It has since moved downstream toward the ocean,'' Hylton said, adding the body was closer to the Pacific Coast Highway bridge in the Banning Ranch area near Costa Mesa and Newport Beach.
