NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A man who killed one woman and injured another in a shooting at a North Hollywood store today was shot to death by police.
Officers were sent to the Burlington Coat Factory at Laurel Canyon and Victory boulevards about 11:45 a.m. after receiving a 911 call from a person who reported hearing arguing inside the store and shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers arrived on scene, found the armed man assaulting a victim and shot him, according to the department.
Paramedics pronounced the man and one of the women dead at the scene and took a second woman to a hospital for treatment of a ``trauma'' injury, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The shooting was under investigation, and the names of the suspect and the fatally injured woman were not immediately released.
