11-Year-Old Honored For Heroic Actions

NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES!

11-year-old Davyon Johnson of Oklahoma was honored for his heroism a few days ago after he performed the Heimlich maneuver on a classmate that was choking and then later that evening, he helped save a woman whose house was on fire. Ding-Dong with Davyon!

For his heroic actions, Johnson was named an honorary police officer, honorary sheriff's deputy... and a hero. He also received three awards from the Muskogee School Board for his efforts.

Latricia Dawkins, Johnson's principal, said that a student was removing a cap from a water bottle wanting to fill it up and the cap accidentally got stuck in his throat, Davyon saw what has taking place and took quick action. He managed to get the cap dislodged from his throat.

"He has always indicated that he wants to be an EMT,"

Dawkins told a local newspaper. She continued:

"So he got to put that desire into action and immediately saved that young man."

Following that situation at his school, Davyon saw a woman's home on fire - he helped her get off her porch and helped her get to her car.

A TRUE HERO!
