LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged today, remaining at $4.683, after dropping a total of seven-tenths of a cent over the previous two days.
The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 4.5 cents more than one month ago and $1.528 higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 3.3 cents since hitting the record high of $4.716 Nov. 27.
The Orange County average price dropped for the fourth consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.652. It has decreased 1.4 cents over the past four days, including a half-cent Saturday.
The Orange County average price is 1 cent less than one week ago but 4.7 cents more than one month ago and $1.522 higher than one year ago. It has dropped 3.7 cents since moving within one-tenth of a cent of equaling its record high Nov. 26.
