LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $4.683 one day after decreasing four-tenths of a cent.
The average price is 1 cent less than one week ago but 5.9 cents more than one month ago and $1.528 higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 3.3 cents since hitting the record high of $4.716 Nov. 27.
The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent to $4.658, one day after decreasing one-tenth of a cent. It is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 6.7 cents more than one month ago and $1.529 higher than one year ago.
