Three Injured in Crash in the City of Orange; Two Critically

ORANGE (CNS) - Three people were injured tonight in a two-vehicle crash in the city of Orange, including two in critical condition.  

The crash was reported at 7:33 p.m. at Chapman Avenue and South Earlham, according to a dispatcher for the Orange Fire Department.  

One person was trapped inside a wrecked vehicle and firefighters used hydraulic tools to free the person, the dispatcher said.  

Witnesses told the California Highway Patrol the vehicles were a black Nissan and a Scion.  

The victims were taken to Orange County Global Medical Center and Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, according to the CHP.  

Westbound Chapman Avenue was shut down between Hewes and Esplanade streets for the investigation, the CHP said.
