SYLMAR (CNS) - Firefighters made quick work of a brush fire in Sylmar today, containing the blaze to about two acres.
The fire was reported at 4:35 p.m. at 16010 W. Roxford St., near the Golden State (5) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze was burning at a moderate speed with winds out of the north at 10-15 mph.
Officials said the fire was contained and forward progress stopped at 4:52 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and officials did not release the cause of the fire.
A small amount of LAFD resources remained on scene to conduct mop-up operations.
