Man Charged with Sex Assaults on Two Girls in Anaheim

SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 60-year-old man was charged today with molesting two girls he is related to in Anaheim.

Rodrigo Acosta Aguilar, who turned 60 today, was charged with sexually assaulting one of the girls in December 2013, and the other in November 1997, according to court records.

The girls were 7 and 11 years old at the time they were allegedly sexually assaulted, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Shane Carringer.

Aguilar is charged with one count of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 years old or younger, two counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 or younger, two counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor under 14 years old, and four counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, all felonies. He also faces a sentencing enhancement allegation for multiple victims.

Aguilar did not enter a plea at his arraignment Monday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. His arraignment was rescheduled for Dec. 2.
