Airports Brace for Chaos after US Lifts Travel Ban

TSA and border workers were bracing for a deluge of international visitors on Monday after the U.S. lifted travel restrictions.

  • The restrictions were first put into place early last year, meaning some U.S. residents haven’t seen their families in more than a year-and-a-half.
  • Incoming visitors are required to provide proof of vaccination, and airlines are now required to confirm that the person flying is the same person mentioned in their vaccination paperwork, health officials say.
