SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 39-year-old man was charged today with pimping a 16-year-old girl in Orange County.
Jose Florencio Alvarezmota was charged with a count of human trafficking of an underage victim, a count of pimping a minor, pandering with an underage minor, statutory rape of a minor, sodomy of an underage victim and oral copulation of a minor, all felonies, as well as a misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia.
Alvarezmota pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana and was ordered to return to court Nov. 18 in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
An Orange County sheriff's investigator said he spoke with the alleged victim Oct. 27, while she was in Juvenile Hall, according to court records.
She said she was 16 at the time of the alleged offenses in July, the investigator said.
Alvarezmota would call his friends over to have sex with the teen in exchange for money and drugs, the investigator alleged.
When the investigator interviewed the defendant, he said he had sex with the teen more than 40 times, called three of his friends over to have sex with her and paid for the hotel room and condoms, the investigator alleged.
The investigator also claimed that there were videos of the defendant on his phone performing sex acts on the victim.
