Starting today, those who will be going to LA County bars, nightclubs, and wineries, and other venues will have to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
Customers aged 12 and older will have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning they must have taken at least two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The venue has to confirm your vaccine status prior to entering the venue.
Last month, if you went to a bar, lounge, nightclub, brewery, or distillery, customers were required to show that they have had at least one dose of a COVID vaccine to get in.
For those who are not vaccinated, officials say that the unvaccinated can be directed to use outdoor seating if that is available. If the unvaccinated customer wears a mask, they will be able to enter the indoor area to use the restroom, order, pick up food, or even pay.
On Monday, November 8th, patrons aged 12 and older will have to show proof of full vaccination to enter indoor areas of restaurants, bars, gyms, movie theatres, convention centers, salons, and more.
Restaurants or venues that do not comply with these new orders will be given a warning and could be fined.
