Teen Killed in Normandie Shooting Identified

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 15-year-old boy who was shot to death on Normandie Avenue was identified by county authorities today.

Cristian Amador, 15, was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.

The shooting of the teen and another man was reported at 9:07 p.m. Saturday in the 9600 block of Normandie Avenue in an unincorporated area of the county bordering South Los Angeles, said Detective Tony Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Amador was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Moore said, and the wounded man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries by paramedics at the scene.

No suspect information was available and deputies say there was no motive for the shooting.
