Police Seek Help in Locating Hit and Run Suspect

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police today are seeking the public's help in identifying a felony hit and run suspect.

A pedestrian was walking north near Grand and Gage avenues at 6:40 a.m. Monday when she was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The semi-truck was turning right on Gage when the collision occurred and the driver left the scene without stopping to render aid, police said.

The tractor-trailer is described as a vehicle that appears to have a late model, dark-colored cab with a possible company logo on the driver's side door and appears to be white with apparent numbers or lettering on the front and sides.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
