LANCASTER (CNS) - Two women who died in a fatal crash in Lancaster in which speed may have been a factor were identified today.

According to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office, the victims are Brandi Marie Aldana, 37, of Lancaster and Renee Scott, 57.

It was not immediately known in which city Scott resided.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at 1:50 a.m. Saturday at Sierra Highway and Avenue I, said a deputy at the Los Angeles County Sheriffs' Lancaster Station.

Aldana and Scott died when their SUV flipped over and slammed into a pole, KABC7 reported.

Two other people were also in the SUV but expected to survive, the station reported. It was unclear who, if anyone, was wearing seat belts.
