PASADENA (CNS) - The Pasadena Doo Dah Parade, billed as the “twisted sister'' of the far more conventional Rose Parade, was canceled today due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, organizers said, “Due to current health guidelines, the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade will be postponed until next year. While many people are disappointed and will miss this year's event, the unique `Other Parade' will return in full color in 2022.''

The parade, featuring an array of wacky entrants in offbeat costumes, was held in a virtual format last year.

The procession is typically held the weekend before Thanksgiving.
