LANCASTER (CNS) - Two people were reported wounded this morning in a shooting at a Lancaster restaurant.
The shooting was reported at 12:12 a.m. at a restaurant in the 42100 block of Sierra Highway, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Preliminary information indicated two people were taken to hospitals with gunshot wounds, Koerner said. It was not clear whether they were taken by ambulance or private vehicles.
Deputies were also containing the scene while determining whether a suspect remained barricaded inside, he said.
A news videographer at the scene reported the incident started with an altercation inside the Culichi Town restaurant and that a man pulled out a gun and got into a shootout with a security guard.
