One day after United Airlines officials announced it would be firing nearly 600 employees for not complying with the company's vaccine mandate, they've followed through on the threat.
- A total of 593 United employees are now out of work, the company revealed Wednesday. All failed to get vaccinated by the Monday deadline, company officials say.
- That's not to say United has been left in lurch; the fired employees comprised just 1 percent of the airlines' workforce, according to CEO Scott Kirby.
- Would you give up your job just so you could avoid getting vaccinated?
