Ford has promised to focus on electric vehicles within a decade - and is backing up that claim with two new factories.
- The company is building two large manufacturing facilities fully dedicated to electric vehicles and parts - one in Kentucky and one in Tennessee. Combined, the plants will employ more than 11,000 people.
- Ford plans to invest $30 billion in electric vehicle production by the year 2025, and $535 million in the U.S. to train electric vehicle technicians.
