LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Rihanna's lawsuit against her father for allegedly illegally profiting off his world-famous daughter by using their last name for a talent development company has been settled in Los Angeles, according to court papers obtained today.
In the lawsuit filed in January 2019 in federal court, Rihanna -- whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty -- alleged that her father, Ronald Fenty, and his partner engaged in false advertising and invasion of privacy by naming their company Fenty Entertainment.
According to the complaint, Rihanna has used her last name for her Fenty Beauty cosmetics line since 2017.
The London-based singer's father falsely claimed to be acting on her behalf when he set up a 15-stop, $15 million Latin American tour for her four years ago, according to the lawsuit, which sought unspecified damages and a judge's order halting operations of the company.
A stipulation of dismissal of the entire lawsuit, signed by lawyers for both sides, was filed Tuesday. No details of the settlement were made available.
