WOODLAND HILLS (CNS) - Firefighters today knocked down an outside fire that threatened a one-story strip mall in Woodland Hills.

Firefighters dispatched at 6:04 a.m. to 22851 W. Ventura Blvd. had the fire out within 16 minutes of their arrival, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

``There was material stored (including bolts of carpet) at the rear of the structure and a dumpster, which were on fire," Stewart said.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
