NORWALK (CNS) - A man was in custody today for driving under the influence when he tried to leave the scene of a vehicle collision, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies were called at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday to a collision at Imperial Highway and Norwalk Boulevard, where they observed the driver trying to stumble away from the scene of the accident, Sgt. Jeff Creager of the sheriff's Norwalk Station told City News Service.
The driver was detained and arrested on suspicion of DUI.
“The cause of the collision is under investigation, so there could be additional charges,'' Creager said.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the collision or how many vehicles were involved.
