NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Artists and designers from animated shows such as “The Simpsons'' and “Love, Death & Robots'' were among the winners announced today for juried Emmy Awards, covering categories in animation, costuming, motion design and interactive programming.
Fox's “The Masked Singer,'' Disney+'s “Black is King'' and IFC's “Sherman's Showcase Black History Month Spectacular'' were all named winners for outstanding costumes for a variety, nonfiction or reality program.
Among animation programs, Netflix's ”Love, Death & Robots'' scored four individual achievement awards for production designer Robert Valley, background artist Patricio Betteo, stop-motion animator Dan Gill and character designer Laurent Nicolas.
Character layout artist Nik Ranieri was honored for Fox's “The Simpsons,'' while storyboard artist David Krentz won for his work on “Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal.''
The award for interactive programming went to Apple TV+'s “For All Mankind: Time Capsule.'' The team behind Apple TV+'s “Calls'' was honored for motion design.
The juried award winners, chosen by a panel of professionals from each of the represented fields, will be honored during the 2021 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which will presented Sept. 11 and 12.
