Ella Bruning, who is the only girl competing in this year's LLWS, just became the 7th female to record a hit in the Little League Worlds Series. How cool is that?
Ella is playing for the Wylie Little League team from Abilene, Bruning who is 12 has been on the team for three years. She became catcher two years ago.
Wylie is playing in its first-ever LLWS, representing the entire state of Texas. Bruning says she wears No. 8 for Wylie because it is the number her mother wore in high school.
