LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The Los Angeles Dodgers plan to hold Mexican Heritage Night at tonight's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, with Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuellar performing before the game in Centerfield Plaza.
Folklorico de Los Angeles will perform on the field during pregame ceremonies. The national anthem will be sung by Gabrielle Ruiz, best known for her role in the 2015-19 CW romantic musical comedy-drama “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.''
The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Cristo Fernandez, who plays Dani Rojas on the AppleTV+ soccer comedy “Ted Lasso.''
The team is offering a ticket package including a Mexican Heritage Night jersey.
The seven-game homestand at Dodger Stadium also includes Black Heritage Day Saturday, with Grammy-winning singer Jody Watley performing pregame, and Lakers Day on Sunday, with the Laker Girls greeting fans in Centerfield Plaza before the game against the New York Mets.
The Dodgers opened the homestand with a 2-1 victory over the Pirates on Monday, with Billy McKinney homering in the seventh inning to tie the score and Max Muncy hitting the game-winning home run in the eighth inning.
The victory was the Dodgers' 14th straight over Pittsburgh, their longest winning streak over one team.
