Police Seek Man Who Sexually Assaulted 66-Year-OId Woman in Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CNS) - Police today sought the public's help to locate a man who sexually assaulted a 66-year-old woman and stole her vehicle after entering her home in Long Beach.

Long Beach Police Department officers were first called at about 11:55 p.m. Wednesday to a residence in the area of Long Beach Boulevard and Willow Street on a report of a burglary, according to a department statement.

A 22-year-old woman who lived at the residence told police that the man entered her home through a window, but fled once she called 911.

Officers responded about 15 minutes later to a residence in the area of Willow Street and Atlantic Avenue on reports of another burglary that was later determined to be a sexual assault, according to the police.

The 66-year-old woman who lived at the residence told police the man entered her home through a window and assaulted her before taking her car keys and fleeing the scene in her blue 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse with Arizona license plate number AJZ3649.

The man was described as being between 45- and 50-years-old with a goatee. He was seen wearing a black hoodie, black knitted beanie, black jeans and black shoes.
