Man Dead in Long Beach Shooting

LONG BEACH (CNS) - Police today are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Long Beach.

Officers responded at 11:53 p.m. Thursday to a shots fired call in the 700 block of East Shoreline Drive, where they found the victim on a jetty suffering from a gunshot wound, said Lt. Shaleana Benson of the Long Beach Police Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Benson said.

The shooting was under investigation, and no suspect information was available.
