CNN has fired three staffers for going into work unvaccinated against COVID-19.
Jeff Zucker, the cable network's president, wrote in a memo on Thursday obtained by The Washington Post that CNN was "made aware" in the past week of three employees violating its policy that only fully vaccinated people work out of its buildings.
Zucker wrote, "All three have been terminated. Let me be clear. We have a zero-tolerance policy on this."
He added that all staffers in the field must also be vaccinated.
CNN had been using an honor system to monitor its employees' vaccination status, though Zucker said that might be changing soon...
