LANCASTER (CNS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Lancaster, authorities said today.

Deputies were called at 9:45 p.m. Monday to the 43500 block of 10th Street West near Avenue K, where they found a motorcyclist and another vehicle at the entrance of a Target store, said Lt. Clinton Skaggs of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Lancaster station.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, Skaggs said.

“It appears that the driver of the other vehicle made a left-hand turn and the motorcyclist collided with the side of the vehicle,'' Skaggs told City News Service, adding that the driver remained at the scene and spoke to deputies.

A description of the vehicle was not immediately available, and the driver did not sustain any injuries.
