Man, 35, Shot to Death for After-Hours Loud Music

  NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A 35-year-old man was shot to death after a heated dispute with his neighbor over loud music well after 2 in the morning in North Hollywood.

  The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. at an apartment building in the 6800 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue, at Vanowen Street, according to Los Angeles police.

  The victim was identified as Eduard Avetisyan, the LAPD said. He died at the scene.

  The shooter was identified as 66-year-old Onik Derhovansian, the LAPD reported. Derhovansian remained at the scene and turned himself in to responding officers. He was booked on a murder charge.

  According to police, Derhovansian confronted Avetisyan about his loud music. He demanded that Avetisyan come downstairs to talk to him. When he did, Derhovansian shot him multiple times, police said.

  Derhovansian was being held on $2 million bail, according to jail records.
