LOS ANGELES (CNS) - CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless" each earned a leading 12 nominations Friday for the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards, with both included among the hopefuls for best daytime drama series.

Also nominated in the drama series category were Popstar!'s "The Bay," Peacock's "Days of Our Lives," ABC's "General Hospital" and Amazon's "Neighbours."

Vying for best daytime talk series will be "The Jennifer Hudson Show," "The Kelly Clarkson Show," "Tamron Hall," "Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts" and "The View."

Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro of "The View" were nominated for best daytime talk series host, along with Kelly Clarkson and Tamron Hall for their respective sereies, as well as Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa for "Live with Kelly and Mark" and the hosts of "The Talk" -- Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O'Connell and Sheryl Underwood.

Notable among the acting nominees was a nod for Hollywood icon Dick Van Dyke, who scored a guest acting nominations for his appearance in "Days of Our Lives." Also nominated in that category was Guy Pearce for a guest spot on "Neighbours."

The Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented June 7 at the Westin Bonaventure hotel in downtown Los Angeles and televised on CBS. Many of the awards will be presented the following night during the Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards ceremony at the same venue.

A host for the ceremonies has not yet been announced.
