Man in Wheelchair Struck By Two Vehicles in Fountain Valley, Killed

A man in a wheelchair was struck by two vehicles and killed in Fountain Valley, authorities said today.

The crash occurred at about 2:35 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Euclid Street and Warner Avenue, according to Lt. Kham Vang of the Fountain Valley Police Department. The drivers of both vehicles stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, Vang said.

 A blue 2021 Chrysler Pacifica was going north on Euclid when it struck the wheelchair, which was traveling westbound on Warner across Euclid, police said. The wheelchair was then struck by a white 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was also going north on Euclid.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.The department's traffic bureau urged anyone with information regarding the fatality to call them at 714-593-4481.
