A Rare Atari Video Game worth Thousands Found in Goodwill Donations

A Texas Goodwill worker discovered something pretty amazing in a donation box filled with old video games.

In the box was a rare copy of the Atari game "Air Raid", which there are reportedly only 13 known copies of the game.

A worker at the store, Alex Juarez, was able to spot it due to it's unusual looking T-shaped handle.

The game was listed on the store site, and was sold under an auction format in seven days for $10,590.79.

Goodwill vice president of community engagement, Shay Johnson, says the money from the sale can provide:

"Day habilitation services for a year for one adult with disabilities; or provide 20 homeless individuals with job placement services and community resources; or help 10 at-risk youth earn their GED and a paycheck at the same time."
