Santa Ana Police Investigating Man's Death

SANTA ANA (CNS) - Santa Ana police today were investigating the killing of a 51-year-old man.

Officers were called to the 5300 block of West Third Street just before 2:45 p.m. Tuesday regarding a man found not breathing in his residence, according to Cpl. Anthony Bertagna of the Santa Ana Police Department.

The victim -- identified as Julio Martinez of Santa Ana -- was found by family members in a bedroom with significant injuries to his upper body and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Martinez lives at the residence with his wife and their child and other relatives, Bertagna said.

An autopsy was scheduled for sometime Wednesday.
