Police Look for Man Alleged to Have Stolen Wallet, Assaulting Victim

SANTA ANA (CNS) - Santa Ana police today asked the public for help in locating a man suspected of stealing a wallet at a doughnut store and attacking the victim.

The robbery occurred about 9:30 p.m. June 12 at the Donut Star, 404 N. Grand Ave., police said.

The victim made a purchase and placed his wallet on the counter and the suspect grabbed and ran away, police said.

The victim chased the suspect and caught him a short distance away and the suspect physically assaulted him, police said.

The suspect made a purchase shortly after the robbery and was captured by surveillance video.

He is described as Hispanic, 35 to 45 years-old, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 165 to 180 pounds, with medium complexion and shaved head. He was riding a white bicycle.
