Man Allegedly Shot to Death by Brother Identified

COMPTON (CNS) - A man shot to death in the rear yard of a Compton home was publicly identified today.

Dejuan Dunn, 31, was a Compton resident, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The shooting was reported around 5:45 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Corlett Avenue, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

“When deputies arrived, they discovered a male Black in his late teens being detained by family members, for apparently shooting his brother in the rear yard of the location following an altercation,'' Koerner said.

The teen was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered at the scene, he added.
