VAN NUYS (CNS) - Students at Los Angeles Valley College can get a financial boost today if they get vaccinated against COVID-19 at the Valley Glen campus.
Students enrolled in at least one summer session class or upcoming fall semester class will receive a $150 gift card for the college's bookstore, if they get vaccinated between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday. The vaccination site is located in the college's Parking Lot A, 5800 Fulton Ave.
The gift card is in addition to other financial incentives being offered to all Los Angeles Community College District students. All LACCD students with a COVID vaccination card dated on or after June 16 can apply for a $75 cash incentive from the district. Students who bring along a family member or friend to get vaccinated can receive an additional $75, for a total of $150.
Students must apply for the incentive through the LACCD online student portal.
The cash incentive is being offered thanks to a partnership between the Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges and Kaiser Permanente.
Vaccination clinics will be held throughout much of July on various dates at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, with additional clinics planned on July 10 at Los Angeles Mission College, July 16 at West Los Angeles College and July 21 at East Los Angeles College.
