Police Seize Thousands of Pounds of Illegal Fireworks in South LA

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police seized thousands of pounds of illegal fireworks in South Los Angeles today and took one suspect into custody.

Police arrested the suspect and discovered about 3,000 pounds of fireworks at a residence in the 2700 block of East 27th Street, near San Pedro Street, according to CBS2.

The suspect's name was not released, and it was not immediately clear what led up to the bust.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the incident, but had no further immediate information.
