A "lot" of crystal meth was reportedly involved with a man who jumped from a moving plane at LAX.
- The man reportedly ran to the front of the plane during his flight, banged on the cockpit door, and eventually made his way out of the emergency exit, breaking his leg.
- The man had some free time on his hands before deciding on a flight for Friday and told FBI investigators that he drank a lot of beer and about $20 worth of meth while he stayed in a downtown L.A. hotel the day of the incident.
- The man also admitted to smoking meth "on and off" in a different hotel the day after his purchase, and then again the day before he jumped from the plane.
