One Dies in Recreational Vehicle Fire in Historic South Central

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - One person died in an early morning fire today in a parked recreational vehicle at a curbside homeless encampment in the Historic South Central District, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Firefighters arrived on scene at 3:06 a.m. and quickly extinguished the fire at 230 W. 38th St., but discovered the body inside the vehicle, the LAFD said.

Details regarding the name and gender of the victim, and the cause of the fire, were not immediately known.
