More than 47 million Americans are expected to drive or fly somewhere over the 4th of July holiday, according to a new report from AAA.
- Officials say that travel volume is pretty much a full recovery to pre-pandemic levels.
- AAA predicts road trips will be the dominant means of travel.
- Despite the highest gas prices in seven years, about 91% of holiday travel is expected to be by car (approximately 44 million) compared to about 3.5 million who plan to fly around the 4th of July.
- Are you going somewhere for the 4th? Are you jumping back into a tradition that was cancelled last summer? Or just brand new plans?
