LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 60-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting in the Vermont-Slauson area of Los Angeles, authorities said today.
The shooting was reported about 11 p.m. Sunday at 68th and Hoover streets, said Officer A. Delatorre of the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations Center.
The man was standing on the street when a vehicle approached and a suspect fired multiple shots at him before the vehicle fled the scene, Delatorre said.
Paramedics took the wounded man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the officer said.
