KFI Radio's Tim Conway Jr. & Production of FDA New Alzheimer's Drug

A new Alzheimer’s drug is on the market for the first time in almost 20 years. 

  • The Food and Drug Administration seemingly disregarded warnings from independent advisers and approved Biogen today. 
  • The FDA gave its approval based on study results showing it seemed “reasonably likely” to benefit Alzheimer’s patients. 
  • Opponents say the treatment hasn’t been shown to help slow the disease.
