The number of murders in Los Angeles County went through the roof in the first half of 2021 -- climbing a whopping 95 percent compared to the same period last year, according to new statistics.
What's more, is the county is seeing increases across the board...
Sheriff Alex Villanueva is also reporting a 40.1 percent increase in car thefts, a 22.3 percent rise in arson, a 12.9 percent jump in aggravated assaults and a 7.8 percent spike in rapes.
"We don't have good news, unfortunately," Villanueva said. "All huge numbers, all very, very troublesome. We have less cops on the street, more crooks, less consequences – you know. What could go wrong with that combination, right?"
