Two Suspects Sought in Culver City Armed Robbery

CULVER CITY (CNS) - Culver City police today sought public help to find a man and woman who robbed a man at gunpoint in a parking lot.

The crime occurred about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 10900 block of Venice Boulevard, according to the Culver City Police Department.

The man told police he was in the parking lot when a vehicle occupied by the two suspects pulled up next to him.

“The female suspect demanded the victim's wallet and the male suspect pointed a black handgun at him and again demanded the victim's wallet,'' police said in a statement. “In fear for his life, the victim handed his wallet to the female suspect.''

The suspects drove away in an “older'' dark blue Volkswagen Jetta, possibly a 2006 model, police said.

The man was described as white, in his 40s, bald, with a heavy build. He wore a gray T-shirt and jeans. The woman, also white and in her 40s, had brown hair and wore a blue shirt with a flower design, police said.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 310-253-6391.
