The Wallace Firm and Los Angeles Rams announced today that they have joined forces in a multi-year partnership with one goal in mind – making an impact on the Los Angeles community. To kick off the partnership, they launched the first-of-its-kind “WallaceWins.com Heart & Hustle Award,” which will recognize community heroes who demonstrate values at the heart of both organizations: a team-first, winning mentality characterized by perseverance, resilience, and courage.
Working with the Rams, The Wallace Firm selected their first recipient: a 17-year-old Loyola High School of Los Angeles football player, Josh Morales, who persevered when he and his entire family contracted COVID-19. Watch Josh’s heartfelt story. The Wallace Firm’s Founder, surprised Josh with a $5,000 donation to support his college education and two of Wallace’s own tickets to the Rams season opener at SoFi Stadium against the Chicago Bears on September 12 on Sunday Night Football.
Take a listen to Mo & Laila talk to Bradley Wallace, The Wallace Firm Founder, and Josh Morales, Heart & Hustle Winner, below.
Josh went through a life-changing experience when he and his entire family tested positive for COVID-19 in 2020. For weeks, Josh nursed his parents through the terrifying sickness. His mother was bedridden for three weeks and his father eventually hospitalized. Josh spoke to doctors about his parents’ conditions, administered medications, prepared meals, hand-cleaned clothes and checked breathing. Regardless of the adversity, Josh was able to maintain a 3.7 GPA in pursuit of his admission to the University of Southern California and prepare for the upcoming football season. His ambition is to be the first member of his family with a four-year college degree.
