Fire Scorches One Acre of Brush Near 241 Toll Road in Irvine

IRVINE (CNS) - About an acre of brush burned today in an unincorporated area of Orange County near Irvine, but no one was hurt.

The fire was reported about 3:35 a.m. at the 241 Toll Road just south of Irvine Park, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

About 60 firefighters stopped the forward progress of the fire within a couple of hours. No structures were threatened.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
