Online petitions have been floating around online calling for continuous stimulus payments.
- One petition, on Change.org, was signed by over 2 million people who believe that the government should supply monthly payments until the pandemic is officially over.
- The petition, created by a restaurant owner in Denver, suggests payments of $2 thousand a month for adults and $1 thousand a month for children.
The petition reads, “We need immediate checks and recurring payments so that we can keep our heads above water. Congress needs to make sure that we won’t be left financially ruined for doing our part to keep the country healthy.”
